How do I get started

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

The process starts with you filling out a short six page questionnaire and then returning the questions to our office. You can either fill out the questionnaire that is provided on the website or you can call the office and we will mail out the questionnaire to you. Once that questionnaire is filled out just return it to our office by mail, E-mail, fax, or office visit.

The same day we receive your questionnaire the attorney will call you to review your questionnaire with you. The attorney will also answer any questions you have about your bankruptcy case. We will review your case and suggest how bankruptcy will work for you.  We may also suggest alternatives to bankruptcy that can better your financial situation. This is all FREE!!! There is consultation charge to discuss your financial situation.

Once you have decided to retain our office for your financial concerns, Niebuhr Law Firm will handle your case as follows. An attorney will go over your information a second time to ensure that there are no misunderstandings.  Our staff will be in constant contact to collect the information and documents that the court needs for your case. Once you have completed the counseling requirements, have paid our office in full and have provided documentation, your case will be filed.

You will then receive a letter stating that your case has been filed.  With this letter we will request further documents and remind you of your court date and time.  You must attend a bankruptcy hearing. This hearing reviews your bankruptcy documents to make sure they are filled correctly and that they are accurate. This hearing will be held at a location near where you live. An attorney from the Niebuhr Law Firm will be with you at this hearing. The attorney will help prepare you for the hearing. The attorney will be by your side while you are answering the hearing officer questions. We do this to help you relax and remain calm while the bankruptcy officer questions you about your bankruptcy papers.

We are there with you every step of the way through the process. After your bankruptcy is over you will receive a fresh start putting your financial troubles behind you.
